Dear all…This will be my last entry for my PR 393 blog and today I am going to continue to talk about the experience that I have gained from The Miri Kaying Community Association.
As I have mentioned in the previous entry that I was given an opportunity to handle The Star Search Miri 2009 event at the association. Throughout the internship program at my placement, the most challenging task for me is handling the sponsorship for the event. Once I got the task, together with my committee members, we listed out all the potential sponsors such as the private companies, firms and non government organization with their phone numbers. Part of my responsible job is to contact and made an appointment with them. In this situation I have to provide a win-win situation proposal for the companies. By doing so, Kaying Association managed to collect the budget. On the other hand, the companies that donated for this event are benefit from it.
Besides that, I also have the chance to work together with the design team to design the ticket to sell for the final day dinner, poster and banner. Then, we will spend three days to design the logo and tickets and the like.
Since the competition will going to hold in the month of September, and I have promised to handle in this competition, I will continue to work for this association after I finish my final examination. Moreover, I do enjoy myself while working together with the committee members there and perhaps we could help to work out a grand competition ever in Miri together!

Miri Star Search! That is the first time ever I heard in Miri! haha..
It must be really fun to do all you have to do. Event organzing.
Sponsorship.. Didn't we learn that in PR 250? or 300? If i'm not mistaken. That's really great. Coz i sort of had a hard time preparing sponsorship proposal.
So, are all the collaterals and news on the Star Search out yet? Coz i haven't seen one! =)
