Hello again from Linc,
Last weeks VIP Spring Summer Fashion Launch went off without a hitch....(thank god)! I'm happy to announce that the night was more fun than work, with over 2 months prep time, everything just flowed well. It really goes to show how important time management and attention to detail is for an event...even if it does only go for little over an hour!
Thank you to my helper on the night, you were all so fantastic! And to those who signed up and didn't come...how disappointing. It;s important to remember that in such a small place like our wonderful Perth, everyone knows everyone, there is only 2 degrees of separation! If worst does come to worst and you can't make it to something, take the time to pick up the phone and give the organiser a call, don't email! A phone call is not only more personal but shows that you have the guts to apologise in person!
Now that things have slowed down a bit, I'm getting to do a lot of media bookings for many different clients and consequently becoming an excel spreadsheet master! Who would have thought! It's time consuming and frustrating at moments but obviously a very essential job to get done!

It's a real shame that people don't take the time to call, particularly as this is public relations and it is absolutely crucial to be responsive.
It's surprising how many do that in uni as well as in their corporate roles.

Tahnks for the comment, you're absolutely right! It's such a let down, espcially when you offer a great expeience to some one and they don't bother to take advantage of it!
