Grow Your Relationship

As an Intern at IPRM, my daily duties continues daily and have added on it updating files, media follow up and also follow up to government agencies:federal and states, non-governmental organisations, institutes of higher learning, public listed companies, services sector-hospitality, health-care and financial institutions and others. For the above listed categories, the follow is to ensure that all corporations have received emails and letters concerning 'Crystal Award'09' organised by IPRM aimed at show-casing the exemplary standards of PR professionalism in Malaysia under these categories are 1.Employee Relations 2. Consumer Public Relations 3.Reputation Management 4. Public Affairs 5. Financial Public Relations 6. Community Relations 7. Issues/Crisis Management 8. Volunteerism 9. Environmental Project. The IPRM Crystal Awards is to offer candidates the opportunity to distinguish them as exemplary PR practitioners for their work and work of their team.

To further my discussion, developing good relationships is integral to your business, mine and our business or corporations. For the achievement of corporation goals, I have learned that sincere relationship is based on intimacy and generosity which will help the organisation to achieve its success. Intimate relationships are built to make others being friendly and genuine. For a deeper achievement, connections, share of interests, dreams can be aspiration with others. Therefore, sharing your struggles, challenges, fears and vulnerabilities with the other party builds trust rather than to be all alone every time. Mark Weinstein "if you take yourself too seriously there is an excellent chance you'll wind up seriously ill", and that is real. All these are pinnacle of intimacy and a focus to lasting loyal business relationship.

IPRM is an organisation which helps Malaysian Public Relations fraternity and business as well as non-profit community organisations to be professional and to achieve their goals. Generosity helps others to achieve their goals. What I have realised here is that, they offer their clients, council members a great deal and services. They make their key publics feel or be successful. For the growth of the corporation and for the goals to be reached, IPRM has trained me that to focus, that is know what you want, personally and professionally and to think of strategic planning every time is very crucial. Secondly, target and identify people who are important to your goals. That is for every corporations, they has to be appropriate groups and specific individuals that leads the organisation in what is being created clearly. After that, defining what you can do for them will come to a stage were messages are created to reach out to them.

In so doing, align of goals with associates, other people in the company and those who are necessary to the execution of the organisation plans will be accomplished. Lastly, reaching out to the target individuals through combinations of meetings, events and seminars will help rather than to run to the media. This is were we have to look at the basics of community analogue communication VS mass communication on reaching people, which one do you think is good and give reasons as to why?

Therefore, this relationship building process allows us/you to create a framework to scale intimacy, focus on building deeper relationships with key influencer's who will help us/you succeed and achieve the full potential of your group. Never let your clients forget that building better relationships will bring everyone more joy and fulfillment.

wow what a good title.
Growing a relationship or building a relationship is the lifeblood of any business and without a relationship you will either fail or have a lonely existence. That means if you organisation does not have a good relationship with others there will be no use for it to exist.

Therefore I have really learned that having a good relationship or being connected to another person or having a good relationship with the media as well as the community there is going to be a change that will lead to growth. We build relationship so that we can help each other, no man is an island. Therefore I guess for your organisation to organise the Crystal Award is a way of appreciating them for the relationship and also to appreciate them for their good work.
I have also learned that relationship is not only about people outside the company the relationship have to start within the organisation. Effective relationship is all about respecting one another. To show respect we have to listen and try to understand how people view things and this will help us to do well in a team. If you feel good about yourself it is much easier to see the good in people and treat them with respect. Therefore I have learned that without relationship nothing can go smooth. I am glad for you dear as I can see that you are really learning much in IPRM and hope you will put that into practice years to come not really years to come next year October.

It is true that without good relationship or connections to stakeholders and other key publics may result as failure for organisation goals to be accomplished.

Therefore, let us continue building strong relationship with our clients for success in the organisation with all that we can do to keep them posted all the time.

i think being at IPRM is going to expose you to a lot of PR works and ethics too looking at the fact that this company is like the mother of all PR companies in Malaysia.

the Crystal Award is a platform for all pr companies to realise that building good relationship with the clients is the most crucial step to take as it can take their business to a higher level. Crystal Awards is definitely something to look forward to

you are on track Tabona, having good relations between a company and its clients is very important to allow smooth cooperation as well as productivity in work. good relationships bring about positive work effects between workmates and could help maintain good reputation between a company and its clients which creates trust.
