Hey Everyone!

Finaly i get to update my profile, it has been quite hectic for the past 2 weeks.Been used to lazing around, doing nothing at home while waiting for replies from companies.Well so far its not bad, apart from catching the earliest bus in the morning and the traffic jam in the to Petaling Jaya,but no worries am getting used to it.

Am working for a company called Waves Pr, established 10 years ago with 12 employs and i am proud to be the first intern of the company! Everyone is entitled to atleast 2 clients of which am helping each and everyone of the PR consultants.

My first asignment was to write a news brief for a cycling company here in Malaysia, but poor me i wrote a news release which is not my job but the company editors. So i had to start all over again writing a brief, which was way simpler than writing a news release for a company you do not even know or you atleast have heard of.

My second task was to write a report after a meeting with one of our clients(resturant and entertainment) offcourse that one i knew all about it, eat there almost every month end so i had more to write.At the meeting our Pr consultant was giving feeback on the proposed idea and theme for the company, at the same time trying to get this company and one of our clients to work together. That is in sponsoring international and local artists to perform in Malaysia, which was a success as both parties were willing to work together.There were also brainstorming ideas of how to go on about their new partnership.

I also have been doing media list for the company, coming up with a new detailed doc which will provide more information on them hence better communication. We also have been having roundtable sessions with selected Editors and media, with brand and product demonstrations with our clients. We also been penetrating the market inorder to create credibilty(source for key spokesperson and testimonials) for our respective clients

Its all about proffesionalism and clients do not take delays whats so ever. And i came across one of our clients informations it says "other irritants include inarticulate, under informed interns being whiny and issistent if we can't make it for events"....I think with that i will stay away from the phone for a while....Gota go back to work fellow interns, for now all the best of luck!!
