Pitch, Bank Form and Corporate Video Shooting!!!

That was one of the projects I loved working on!!! I was asked to prepare a pitch and designing it as well. My supervisor briefed me about the content! We both worked on the content, I then summarised all the main ideas on the slides.

It was in fact a sponsorship pitch: "Presenting A First in Mtius: AfrAsia Haute Couture Fashion Show Summer/Spring 2010 - By Lida O'Reilly." I had to look for images of Lida O'Reilly, her previous internnational fashion shows through search engines and social networks such as Facebook. Research was indeed an important task regarding the pitch.

The design part was done with the help of Photoshop, Paint.NET, PowerPoint and SmartArt. My classes of NET (Internet Design) 291 definitely helped me as far as Photoshop was concerned. Cropping, adjusting, glowing, lighting effects, sharpening, solarising, softening, 3D rotation, positioning.. The list is indeed long! Loads of work but real fun!!!

The pitch comprised of sponsorship benefits packages - Platinum & Gold, which made me remember my PR (Consultancy) 300 classes whereby I studied the sponsorship proposal, benefits (Naming rights, logo exposure, etc.) as well as the reasons behind sponsoring - building on media interest, reinforcing the corporate identity, enhancing brand exposure among others, which were included in the pitch.

Another fun- loving PR activity I worked on was to design a new bank form for the opening of a personal bank account with Adobe Live Cycle! I created a form where the person will be able to fill in the form online, print it and sign it and not have to print a hard copy and fill it like the initial one.

Besides the bank was engaged in the production of a corporate video clip focusing on its services taking into consideration its core values as well, so as to showcase during the launch of representative offices in South Africa. The team of Hello News TV was present and that was indeed an amazing experience to see this live. I had the opportunity to see the clip and it was definitely a good one!

Loads to do, but undeniably a great experience and definitely applying my skills and techniques I've studied as a PR student since 2 years!

More updates in the next post!

Till then, take care and have fun! ;)
