Royal Sprucing

In the past week, with the build up to the National Day which falls towards the end of this month, the office has been busy busy busy....

But tantamount to all the hecticness was a royal working visit by one of the Princes. There was catering to worry about, the holding room to make pretty, conference room seatings to arrange and a welcome banner to put up.

The fun begins when everyone chips in to make the building pretty and sparkly and looking great:

The holding area for the Prince. Me and my two colleagues were put to task to arrange the Department's publications neatly into the shelving units to display.

Publications neatly albeit sparsely arranged. Most of these publications include statistic reports, visitor's guide and information book (a yearly publication) and a series of issues titled "Milestones" and other markers among others.

We also had carpenters to fit in new fixtures!!
Although the Prince's visit was unofficial, it remains important that the Department, which acts as the government's Public Relation's agency keep to its best and most presentable. My duties were mainly to arrange and help make arrangements, however, I also learned valuable information from going through my boss's presentation notes and flipping through the past publications.
I did take a photo with the Prince, however, I don't think I'm allowed to post it up. But rest assured he looked handsome and content by the Information Department's progress so far. :)
Will update more real soon.
Until then....
