Something that I have learnt so far in my placement is that consultancies are constantly busy. Even if the consultants are not working on or writing up a specific strategy for an existing client or writing up a tender for business for a potential client they are always busy doing other things.
It seems work at a consultancy is never finished, whether researching for new types of strategies, updating media training information, writing up letters for clients about upcoming annual reports and industry specific conferences or finding quotes for specific events.
I think for me, the best thing about doing my placement at Purple Communications is that I am getting exposed to so many different areas of public relations and the different industries that public relations operates in.
