However, I would like to thank the Willetton Sports Club for teaching me how to survive in a tough working environment. So far i have learnt:
1. Specific information such as messages for the manager, the secretary and even the Chef, should be noted very clearly o that they do not get the wrong informations and have client gawk at them when everything doesn't turn the way the clients want it to.
2. Know your organisation inside out because you would want to be presentable to the clients and not stumble across information providing them with wrong information about price, venues or facilities of the club. The other bad thing about not knowing your organisation, clients would not rely on you to take on their events because they feel that you don't know what you are doing.
3. Take matters on your own hand if you can feel that you can deal with them because your managers have a lot more important business rather than to deal with customers who are looking for keys to one of the rooms in the club or clients who stumbles in without a booking to discuss partnership.
4. Make sure that you have everything you need at least 3 days before the event. Provide checklists, timeline, sticky notes to remind yourself.. etc
5. Be good to all your colleagues at work for they will help you with any information you might need whilst working there. Also it is very important to maintain a healthy relationship with your colleagues because they create a comfortable working environment for you, making you enjoy working in the field.
Overall, i have learned a lot working at the sports club and i feel that i am brave enough to face the real world in the real working environment. I hope that the things i have learnt in the internship can be a reference to my future jobs.
I would like to thank Katharina Wolf for helping me so much with all the struggles i have been facing. I though that i would never get a placement and actually pass the unit. Your advices have made me believe that i can get what i want if i try harder for it and be patient staying with it.
Lastly thank you to Linda Sibald, the secretary of Willetton Sports Club, who has been very patient teaching me about events, giving me very positive tasks and believing in me.
Also thank you to those who have taken the time and read my posts. I hope everything goes well for everyone and all the best to all of you

hello Eka. i like that part about making a checklist about everything before an event is about to go on - sticky notes etc. i'm pretty sure i'll know what the end of the world feels like when we ever ran out of sticky notes. awesome blog entry. kudos :)
