The small things

Hi Guys,

My final few days of my placement were quite sad for me.. I have really enjoyed my time at Wesley College and I cant even begin to discuss how much help and inspiration my supervisor has given me throughout and is still continuing to do! The experience I have had and the lessons I have learned I feel have really started to prepare me for the 'real world' and actually getting a job soon. Some points I have discovered during my internship are:

1. All of the small things matter.
Even if a job seems mundane dirty or boring, each single part of an event is important. If you forget just one small element it could really have a big negative impact.

2. Communication is number one.
I have discovered exactly what we have been told over and over. Communication is the key to being successful in a PR role. Especially in events where details change and not telling the caterers that there are 104 people coming instead of the 95 that were originally discussed can be disastrous!

I hope that everyone had as good time as I did working at their placements.

Best of luck!

"Small things matter".
"Communication is number one."
Amen to that, mate ! ^_^ Even the minutest detail is important, and some people go to lengths to make a fuss about them.

You sure are blessed to have a good supervisor to help you out.

totally agree with your post. things that looks insignificant may cause huge disaster if we don't look at it properly. and without proper communication, any type of work will turn out to be disaster as well. :)

these are great qualities to carry on our real job soon. :)
