BUSY BUSY BUSY!

I have really started to sink my teeth deep into some Public Relations activities lately.

Over the past few days I have been busy with writing media releases, articles for the City Chronicle (which is released Quarterly) and collaborating story ideas for the monthly news column which features in the local community newspaper.

I attended the official handover of two new light tankers at the Baldivis Volunteer Fire Brigade where I took photos, interviewed the Rockingham City Councils fire and emergency administration officer and later wrote a media release on the event.

The brand audit I have been working on for the past 9 days has finally been completed. I am now in the process of writing a report, which will detail the outcome of the brand audit and provide a budget and timeline involved in replacing existing branded assets.

I have also assisted the Community & Media Relations Officer approve and upload content to the newly designed City Of Rockingham website.

The website was refreshed this year to modernise the City Of Rockingham image and to make the website more user friendly.

The new logo and tag line have now been unofficially selected. It is now a matter of it going through the process of approval before we can launch it to the public in December/January.

All staff and Councillors had the opportunity to vote on which new logo they preferred… even I did.

It feels great to be included with the staff activities and trusted to carry out media tasks.

I will have my work approved and will hopefully be able to upload it soon for all who are interest to see.

I am really starting to like my placement at the Council, it’s a shame I only have 6 days left!
