Sin Chew Media Event

SIN CHEW MEDIA EVENT

Popular media events aim to attract big live audiences and Tim Bodycare as an organization is also aiming for higher exposure to the public, and by working with big media corporations has enabled the company to get publicity. And that did not stop during the first years of operation, Tim Bodycare strives hard to do all it takes to be on the spot light.

On the 17th Tim Bodycare went to Sin Chew Daily to pitch to the organization about the services we provide as a Massage training center and massage service provider. We went the with the purpose of showing them our demonstration of on-site corporate massage.

We made arrangements were made with the Supplement/feature department to show case our services to them. We planned event time so that it is not only convenient to the Tim Bodycare and also to Sin Chew. I think it was a good timing because we went during lunch hour a time where people are free to have a chat and we used this as an opportunity.

We had an open session for questions; the media were throwing questions whenever they wanted the clarifications.

PREPATIONS BEFORE THE EVENT-CHECK LIST

· Corporate massage chair

· Banner

· Decoration bowls

· Oil

· Sanitizer

· Tissue

· Water

· Press releases

· Videos

VISUALS

We thought about our visuals and use all in the check list above. And our team gave the media as much of a hands-on experience as possible. We talked about our service and training we offer for half an hour and then referring to the picture in the brochure.

I liked this event because it helped me see experience the real job and work of the media, and on our site if we keep on doing this kind of job in the end we might get the publicity we want and we can generate huge returns from this kind of events. I was able to relate to the media people because of the little information about public relations and therefore I have learned what I need to do before the event.

· Prepare all the necessary materials

· The media will always ask questions

· They asked our next destination, and they do ask tricky questions so we need to know what to expect and stick by our concept.

* Now I understand . . . because I think I have learned from the event, I gained an experience from the event.

RECOMMENDATIONS FROM THE MEDIA

  • · Consider advertisements
  • · Have education forums for the public.

In casing I would say the event went well, it was a learning curve for Tim Bodycare, we provided press releases, videos and images burned in a CD and we are hoping they will feature us whenever they feel the need.

That was really great, especially that you are doing both journalism and PR it is really great that you have explored how those two professions work together and contribute to each other, because indeed media is very important in the PR field as it is the one that helps us PR people air our views and amendments. hope it will benefit you a lot..all the best
