Experience Counts!

Hi everyone, am sorry for being late for the blog post. Well, i did my internship for about 2 months in a company called Jazzmates Production which specializes in organizing events. My everyday work was to assist with creating and updating company database. Organizing events is also part of PR which tries to strengthen the relationship between an organization and its key stakeholders by bringing them together and is very interesting and get you exposed to different people of different ideas. Working in this company was worth it, as i had an opportunity to experience PR on field.

I was so blessed for i joined the organization at the right time as there was more work to be done concerning organizing big events for companies like Shell, Bp, Affin Bank and Google. To be involved in this organization for me was to be trained on telemarketing, event coordinating and internet marketing. Ladies and Gentleman PR is all about relationship which does goes well with good communication. So, during the process of organizing the events we acted as a bridge which connects the company with its stakeholders. We did our best to make sure that everything will be success at the end.

Time well spent at Jazzmates.I believe you learnt a lot and now you gained experience.

Knowledge shared is knowledge gained, As you mentioned earlier during your placement you helped in organizing events which means you worked with various clients. Just to add on what you have said, i have realized that for an event to be successful there has to be proper planning.

Apart from checklists and budgets plan publicity, it could be a primary objective but its worth it as the information will be disseminated.

During my placement during events i worked on media invitations. For the event to be successful the media has to be there, and they need to be provided with relevant information including press releases and photos afterwards.

More especially those who didn't attend, make a follow up until the article is published.Good communication skills and hard work pays.

Yes Olebogeng It was really a good time and at least i know whats happening in the real world.
I agree with what you said, you know, planning is the fundamental and the most important thing in PR which lead to success. And without the Media during the events is very risky considering the fact that they make communication easy between the organization and its key publics.
