World Water Day

Hello,
I am Anisha Gaya from CTI Mauritius. I have started my internship at the Central Water Authority 2 weeks ago. Till now all is going well.
As some of you might know, today the 22th of March, we celebrate the International day of water. In Mauritius, the event is being held at the Rajiv Gandhi Science Center, where an exhibition and various presentation concerning water are given. Doing my internship with the communication officer of the CWA, I am being involved in the forum.
I am having a great opportunity to learn as it is the first time i am assisting to the preparation of an event.
Besides this, during my internship, my tasks are basically to do the press clippings, do research, draft media releases, organize name tags and stationaries for the event and prepare media kits for the event.
Above all, what I am actually observing on the job is that the PR/communication officer undergoes a LOT of pressure!!!

Infact the pressure will still continue only for the fact that the more PR upgrade its standards, the more the pressure continue . Though this is the case PR helps us to be exceptional and fine individuals to can think and think strategically. Ever since I started my internship, though there were times when I would come home crying telling my colleagues that I am not going back to the office again due that pressure you are talking about, but then what amazed me at last was the fact that I gained more than what I expected.
So as a future Public Relations officer, I have decided to rise above the level of the pressure that we go through and work heartlessly to take PR to the next level because I believe that as a PR officer I should have hopes, ambitions, purposes and ideal to better the career field that I have chosen I show people that indeed PR is essential. So get used to the pressure girl....

Pressure is all around us every day, when you wake up; there is a rush to arrive earlier at work to catch up the due work. Public relations like any other job people work under stress but I can start that we were doing only an internship where we were saved from taking on decisions where we should be accountant of this. For the coming years with experience we will be able to manage out stress out and solve out decision with more patience.
