Subsequent to my training at Jazzmates Production I have now came to a full agreement with my instincts to go on and choose Public Relations as my future career. The way to this new beginning of my line of business is to accept modified activities of Public Relations in order to occupy space in the modern demands. When I look back Public Relations was only destined on the basis of advocating for organization in various ways like building such an explicit bond with the target tactics such as the community, media, employee and others but these days Public Relations has considerably changed.
The occupational field of Public Relations continues to change gradually and new trends have been able to show up. New trends and practices of Public Relations emerge all the time. Taking for example, event public relations have gained more relevance for practical PR activities. To justify the following statement, as I was a fresh from doing multiple PR modules I was only infused with basic grass roots skills of Public Relations what I mostly expected from my training was to do the same old Public Relations which I taught at school but surprisingly, everything turned up different. That’s when I realized that firstly, what you are taught at school is just the basic of your chosen career path. Lectures are just giving you a glimpse of how the real world look like and as a student don’t expect that you are only going to make use of what you are taught at the university. Books, lecture notes and journals will be there but your boss will still expect you to deliver something different. Only if we can open our mind enough to explore different perspectives of Public Relations, and understand how diverse it is that’s when we can succeed in this field.
The amazing part of it is that I went to join Jazzmates Production with expectations that maybe I will be asked to draft media releases, speeches, monitor the media just like some of my friends who joined different companies did, but to me it was such a different story to tell. Above all I took part in various tasks such as assisting in developing, planning, coordinating and organizing events and public relations programs and functions, conducting research and market analysis to develop concept in organizing events and its activities, establishing and maintaining networking with clients, structuring and coordinating events and public relations programs scheduling, developing and maintaining client database as well as internet marketing. Astonishingly, none of the following activities was taught at school. I then I marked how diverse Public Relations actually is. In fact I came to such a powerful conclusion that in this new era Public Relations is business oriented.

hi. Goleba you are right dear,Public Relations has a lot to offer, even where you may have thought it cannot be practiced.I had the same experience, i learned that what we are taught in schools its just the basic, when you get to the real world, new things are there to be learned. As every organisations has its operation ways, i had to learn different formats of writing press releases, speeches. And amazingly one day i was asked to write a media invite for one of the launch we had, and this is something i didn't do at school. PR its interesting and challenging at the same time.
