This week has been relatively quiet – which is a nice change – but it’s also making me quite nervous because I know what’s coming up! I’ve mostly been involved in tying up any loose ends and finishing off small projects such as a direct mail piece and the sponsorship of more quiz nights and staff events.
All my big tasks are waiting on some printing and graphic design projects to be approved and finished and so next week it will be GO GO GO once again! Once these brochures and flyers have been printed they need to be distributed throughout all the campuses and mailed out to several thousand members. And I won’t have even thought about the events coming up yet….
We have 3 major events approaching in the coming months and the tricky thing is, when your part time, you can only do so much planning before the event actually arrives – with the few days before packed with last minute issues! The first event coming up is the Murdoch Staff Sports Day which is held on Friday 2nd September (over 3 weeks away). But for me this only leaves 6 days in reality to get everything done before the big event! For now I have done what I can to prepare but many of the final tasks can only be completed a week prior to the event – but for us part timers that means 2 working days….bring on the panic!!
