Hi Everyone,
Although I have been doing my internship since April, there were some issues with getting my blog set up, so this is my first official post.
I am undertaking my internship with abi and joseph who are a pilates and activewear clothing label . They are based in Fremantle but they are primarily an online retailer, shipping to 25+ countries across the globe. They do beautiful, stylish and sexy clothing for yoga, pilates, running, boxing, walking, gym etc or simply lounging around in. If you are at all fitness minded I'd highly recommend checking out their website here.
A little while back I was asked to interview both abi and joseph's current model, Scherri Lee Biggs and also a renowned U.S based Pilates Instructor, Alisa Wyatt. These interviews are now up on the abi and joseph website and can be seen here (Alysa Wyatt) or here (Scherri Lee Biggs).
Coming up with the questions to be asked was interesting and required a fair bit of research on both ladies prior to doing so. Scherri Lee Biggs at the time was competing in the Miss Universe Competition and in the last couple of weeks was crowned Miss Universe Australia. She will be travelling to Brazil to compete in Miss Universe World in September.
When coming up with the interview questions I had to be mindful not to ask anything that may have jeopardized her chances in the Miss Universe Competition. I decided it would be best to leave out that topic all together. After the interview, it is interesting and exciting to see that her name and photo is everywhere at the moment! And it is fantastic for abi and joseph that their model is potentially the new Jennifer Hawkins!

That sounds so exciting, star-struck much? Well at least you can claim some bragging rights if she does win, you will have interviewed her before she was famous! Hope you enjoy the rest of your internship!
Hi Erin!
That sounds amazing! What a great experience for you.
Before interviewing the subject, did you do some question preparation and background research on what you were going to ask? Or did you mainly try and just establish a rapport with her?
This is the perfect example of a situation in real life where PR Techniques has come into handy....
Hope the rest of your placement ended up well!
Jess
