Hey everyone
Ok from my last blog I wrote more about planning for the event, now I will discuss on when the event is on the go. A day before the day of registration we made sure that all the names on the list we have prepared the nametags, make sure the workshop package is ready, the registration forms, biographies of speakers, etc, basically we leave everything in place so that in the morning everything will be set and well organized. For the purpose of reference, we take some photos. The registration day is the simplest and yet more time consuming of all because until the registration is over that’s when one can relax and during tea breaks we made sure that food are ready and everyone had something to eat.
Other than the event I did the cover page for the department magazine called the Technical Review. This requires creativity and I was happy my boss liked it. Apart from event planning and the technical review magazine I also did some small duties in the office that I was assigned to do by other employees and it made my easier as I started being comfortable and I really enjoyed the workplace. It was also easy for me to communicate with other staff members as the only language used to communicate is English and I really liked the fact that everyone in the office was friendly and welcoming, it made me feel like I am part of them big time.

hi Keba
I bet you had an awesome event, i could just tell from what you just posted. The guests must have had so much fun looking at the fact that you guys gave them a warm welcome. I really hope you learned a lot from the event. Events can be tiring sometimes, you need to be focused and passionate about what you are doing so that you enjoy every bit of it. It really shows you had so much fun in ABU and also that they they trusted you as interns to do a good job without supervision. Well good-luck with your future, keep your head high.
Best regards
Boago, LUCT
