Halfway of internship

Hi everyone,

It is already halfway for my internship, time is so fast. I cannot beleve it. It is because too many things to do in these few weeks and I am very enjoy with my placement. Therefore, I have not time to upload the Blog.

In these few weeks, I do a lot of work such as attend the meetings, find the information from the internet and documents. During this period, my most works are attending some meetings because we discuss about the booth’s concept, design, decoration, strategies, budget and how to promote the booth in exhibition. Therefore, I am so busy for meetings.

Base on the meetings, I need to find some information of our competitors in the exhibition. My company is based on baby monitor so the competitors are Winfield Vision Technology Limited, Anposi Products Ltd, AEE Holding Limited, iReach Technology Limited, Union Instruments Co Ltd, Joyo Plastic & Electronics Company, Daily Ease Industrial Limited and Glory Power International Electronic Limited. Their products size and feature are similar with us so we need to research their products and make up the new strategy for our baby monitor.

During the meetings, I find that freedom of speech and employees’ relationships are very important in the company. We can give our ideas and opinions in the meeting, the manger does not mind employees can give more suggestion and recommendation to improve the strategies and promotion plan. It makes me change my feeling of meeting, before I think attend the meeting will be so boring and more formal structure. However, I think more comfortable and casual in the meetings. It is very good for the company.

Furthermore, employees’ relationships are very close and friendly. When I have questions, my colleagues are very happy to answer and help me. Hence, I build the good relationships with them. They are so nice to me. However, I am working online in Perth, so I cannot join their lunch party on Monday every week. In Hull Base, the boss will hold the lunch party for employees every Monday. This action can increase communication between employees and supervisors. It is a good internal communication. Moreover, Hull Base provides all the need stationery and some free snacks and drinks to employees for break time. Employees have a break time to relax and enjoy the snacks and drinks.

It is a great working environment in the Hull Base. And then, it is good placement for me to gain more experience, knowledge and communication skills. I am very enjoy work in Hull Base.
