The Monte Carlo Movie Advanced Screening

Last Sunday was the Monte Carlo advanced screening at the Readings Cinema, Belmont.
It was such a fun event to be apart of!

I had arrived at the cinemas at 1.30pm to assist with the set up. There were 3 major sections organised in the middle of the cinemas. A section for hair, nails as well as make up. Which were all provided free for the guests to enjoy by NRC Communications. There were also 2 masseuse available, ready to pamper our lovely tweens! And lastly, a cotton candy booth ofcourse! Oh, as well as DOZENS of pink helium balloons, it was such a pretty sight.




FYI, Monte Carlo is definitely a chick flick filled with beauty, fashion, fame and adventure, so we wanted to incorporate the same theme to the screening.

Guests started to arrive at 2.30 and at a blink of an eye, the cinemas went from empty to CRAZY. I didn't expect that many people. I was in charge of ensuring guests were lining up at the right places as lines were basically facing everywhere, and was getting confusing. I was also assigned to take care of the 9 models that would be walking on a mini catwalk just before the film begun.

As our guests entered the cinema door, they walked along a pink carpet with fake paparazzi taking snapshots of them. Let's just say, they had their 10 seconds of fame! And they loved it!

All in all, I really enjoyed myself, it was great to have some sort of control in making sure everything was running smoothly as well as meeting and interacting with different people.

It may have been difficult to organise and tiring to run, but the event turned out to be so successful that it was all worth it!
