Final Blog
This will be my final blog entry before handing in my final Public Relations assignment on Friday. What an amazing experience I have had at the RRR Network. It’s had its lows and highs, but I am very grateful for this unique opportunity.
We sent off all the photos and information regarding the RRR Network Family Organiser to the designer last week. We should receive the first proof back on Thursday and hopefully I will be able to include it in my assignment. I have also discussed with Katrina, the Executive Office or the RRR Network about staying on as an Intern until the final Family Organiser is signed off. I really wanted the opportunity to see a project that I solely worked on from start to finish. So now I will be staying at the RRR Network for 4 more weeks!
The latest RRR e-newsletter (which I put together) is now available online at http://www.rrr.wa.gov.au/newsletter_current.asp for everyone to see. I finally feel very confident putting e-newsletters together. Third times the charm!
The PDF version of edition 57 of the RRR Network News spring: 2011 is also now available of the website at http://www.rrr.wa.gov.au/magazine.asp for anyone who wishes to read it.
We are now starting the next edition of magazine which I am sad to say I won’t be seeing through to publication.
One of the recommendations I made in assignment is already being put into practise, with a style guide being developed for all the RRR Network products. This makes me feel like I have actually contributed and help develop the network in some way.
I would like to thank Katrina Hayes for having me at the RRR Network, and of course Katharina Wolf for organising the placement. It truly has been an amazing experience to be able to see what Public Relations is like in the real world.
So long fellow Bloggers!
Sarah
