So here is my final blog, a couple of weeks late but never late than never!
It has been an amazing opportunity to be involved with the Fremantle Chamber and see the inner workings of a not-for-profit organisation and what role PR has in the daily activities and responsibilities.
Every day has been such a surprise with new opportunities that have provided me with skills which I otherwise would not have learnt. I am so grateful for all the knowledge, opportunities and guidance that the staff at the Chamber have given me. I couldn't have asked for a better team to work alongside and learn from!
Some of the networking that I have been able to do has been great as well, I've been able to sit in on a few of their events and had the honour of meeting board members and staff of the City of Fremantle. It was such a great experience to be able to sit in on the Fremantle Leaders Luncheon and listen to the Mayor of Fremantle, Dr Brad Pettitt talk about the future redevelopment plans for Fremantle. This event in particular I was able to witness how all the small tasks I had undertaken before the event contributed towards the successful execution of the event.
Overall, this was an extremely enjoyable experience from which I learnt a great deal and will continue to do so as I have been asked to stay on in a part time capacity over the Summer (for which i am extremely excited about). I can't wait to learn more in the "real world."

Yes, I think so. I learnt more knowledge for my team and colleagues. They are so lovely and teach me a lot. When we work in the placement, we learnt a lot of skills and knowledge is difficult to gain in the textbook. And then, I think your placement work is so interesting. I also have interest when I see your comment. Moreover, I am very happy to know that you will be stay on this placement over the summer, congratulation for you and good luck for your report.

Congratulations for being offered to stay at the Fremantle Chamber over the summer! You must have really impressed your superiors with your knowledge and enthusiaum in the public relations workplace!
I understand how interesting it would have been to you to be involved in a meeting involving important members of The City of Fremantle and listening to the ideas around redevelopment. I find it incredible to learn of developments so early on in the progress of things and see months down the track, everyone's work and ideas get put into practice. Lets hope over the summer you are able to become more involved in contributing toward the redevelopment.

Congratulations on being offered a postion! Sounds like you had some great networking opportunities, which is always helpful in the world of Public Relations.
I too thought it was particularly interesting to see how all the small tasks you do count towards the final event. To see the finished product go off 'without a hitch' is truly rewarding, especially as graduates just starting out in the industry.

In PR we have always been taught to network, so it is definitely great to see that you have applied it so effectively and efficiently.
