The working world can be a scary place to touch down. I'm glad i still have basically one more semester of studying; enjoying it to the fullest because when deadlines are to be met at work there's no negotiating your way to an extension with your boss.
I was doing my internship at Tati River Lodge in Francistown, Botswana, in the Sales and Marketing department which also dealt with solving PR crises, planning and implementing of proposals for companies and in house strategies.
It was winter, pretty tough to get up in the morning and be on time, but i made it for every 8am morning briefing and Monday morning 10am meetings with the Managing director.
Tasks that were delegated to me included script writing for radio ads, proposals for schools who wished to have a win win situation, i.e seeking sponsorship and in return the Lodge would have free advertising in their bi-monthly school magazine and a stall at their fete.
It was a fun and informative experience. I shall elaborate in more blogs to follow.
So that's it from me, till next time.
