MAKING IMPROVEMENTS

As exquisite as  my internship was, i felt that The Chateau Spa & Organic Wellness Resort  need a few nips and tucks here and there.

First and foremost, i felt the company was in dire need of exposure since it was recently opened and what better way is there than to take advantage of the social media since it is the 'in thing' these days.

It should use social media like Facebook, twitter, Skype and blogging to make itself more known to the public, since nowadays social media attracts a lot of people form all corners of the world, which would also increase their stakeholders because The Chateau mostly targets International publics, so with the help of social media the message could be spread fast and widely .

Secondly , the company should increase its employees in the Pr department, because there was only two people handling a lot of work that working in the Hotels and Resorts comes with,which proved to be too much to handle as sometimes we had to stay as late as 10 pm. introducing more employees would not only take the load off the existing workers but it would also bring in better results.

Most importantly i suggest that the company creates more relationship with the media. During this internship i noticed that The Chateau had quite few connections with the media, and to be more specific it was closer to The Sun and The Star newspapers which are both local English newspapers.

Now for the organization to be able to spread more information about itself they need to have a relationship with more media within the country and not focus on just the two and they especially need to include media of other languages because Malaysia is a land of mixed races( Malay, Indian and Chinese)

It would be great if the company could embrace one or two of these suggestion in a near future..
