This is going to be my last post, my time in FitoFly
has taught me a number of things about PR, one of the main ones being don’t
ever start a company without some kind of PR helping you out. None of my ideas
were really implemented, it stinks but I’m looking at it positively.
I did learn the value of PR at FitoFly and the
people I worked with were very friendly if not busy and sometimes indecisive
when it came to matters they’re uncertain about, like PR. It can be frustrating
but I can’t really blame them, PR isn’t really a focus for them. They realize
its value but it’s like one of those things you can always do tomorrow.
I also learned a lot about our university, stuff I
otherwise would not have known about if it weren’t for my time in FitoFly. Varsity-wise
our teams are pretty good, especially the rugby and basketball teams, I was
surprised at that, I’ve been here 3 years and I barely hear anything about our
varsity teams.
It’s really sad that word doesn’t get out about
them, both FitoFly and ISAC do a lot to get them playing but they don’t really
publish or let the word out about it. I really hope FitoFly tries the proposals
I brought forward, I even volunteered to help out after my internship is done
but we can only wait and see if the situation permits.
