Bureaucracy is such a buzzkill.

Currently in my fifth week in FitoFly and not much has been done, we have meetings and we talk about what needs to be done and how to do them but the biggest setback I learned today was that CCC, the department handling footage of events LUCT has taken part in are very strict about releasing their footage.

FitoFly and ISAC are comprised of only a handful of people and I myself am only just one person. The task of shooting a video can be pretty demanding if the pre-production isn’t done right, so we tried to get footage of the rugby team in action from CCC. The problem came when the procedures of acquiring footage was made known to me.

You need to fill out a form, then you need to get a VP to sign the form which can take weeks and I’m not sure how long it will be from when we get the VP’s signature to actually getting the footage into our hands. I spoke to one of my friends who works as an assistant producer in CCC, she said that is the procedure and that it can be a pain.

Bureaucracy is such a buzzkill.
