A need to succeed - Employee communication

We have always been taught how important stakeholders are for an organisation. In this post I will briefly discuss how my internship keeps this at a high satisfaction level.

In a PR profession, communication with the internal stakeholders such as employees should always be kept on a satisfied level. In essence, without good communication skills within a company, the external communication could never succeed.  At TAC, the employees’ satisfaction is highly regarded by the organisation. By the use of different communication methods such as; email, face-to-face discussion, regular lunch-dates on Friday’s and mid-morning tea at least once per week, the atmosphere in the office is always on a positive level. It is also visible in the employers, as many of them have been there for a long period of time, although it is common in a Government position to switch departments.

In addition, every second Friday, TAC holds a regular toastmaster meeting for its employers, to improve the verbal communication and appearance skills from its employees’. After measuring the outcome of the toastmasters meetings by doing a survey, the toastmasters’ members said they were 100 per cent pleased of the improvement of the verbal and appearance skills. However, they also said that they enjoyed the toastmaster meeting because the interaction with friends on a non-serious level.

TAC also acknowledges its staff members birthdays, both on the Intranet and with a celebration in the office with presents and food provided by the department.

In conclusion, TAC has successfully created a good communication strategy with its internal stakeholders, and it is definitely shown in the quality of the work within the organisation.

Communication among the internal stakeholders is very important i reckon because with the well maintained communication, the workforce and environment will automatically increase. I think it is really good to have interaction among colleague on a non-serious level because that is the only time we can understand a person little better. I hope you had fun in your placement job
