Finally, my three-month internship with Waggener Edstrom Worldwide Singapore had come to an end.
It was quite an love-hate goodbye as my direct superiors had the interest and wanted me to be converted into an account co-ordinator with them, however it was not approved by the management due to budget issues.
During my last four weeks with them, i had to take on more responsibilities, and having to make more contact with the media as well.
I had to do media calldowns to check if they received my events listings, and most of the time they would not remember receiving the e-mail and I would have to know the content of the events on the back of my head.
Surely, it was an interesting experience, knowing the true side of media, and also making myself known to them.
Also, it was during the last four weeks that I have received more recognition from my superiors and clients knowing that the efforts that i've put in were not insignificant and they were appreciative of my work.
At the end of the three months, i had to work on updating my resume, and looking back on my internship experience, I would still choose Public Relations as my career and choice of studies.
It indeed has been a fruitful and enriching three months, and it was alot better than how i had imagined this journey. I would like to take this opportunity to thank my lecturer Shalu, who had provided me and my peers with valuable inputs and had accompanied us all the way thus far. I would also like to thank my direct superiors and seniors at Waggener Edstrom for giving me such an enriching and insightful internship experience.
Finally, now I'd have to finish up on our final internship report.
Good luck guys on your reports as well!
Till then,

It is good to have a good internship. It really helps us new degree holders to be more confident about our skills and really help us to be confident in the workplace. I really think that it is important to have a great internship, since for many it will be the first time that they will see what the workplace is really like. Congratulations.
