Well, i have finished my internship, both happy and sad. Happy, because i am to glad to have been given this opportunity and excited to use this experience of establishing a PR department and implement it in my further ventures.
On the other hand i am sad because i had a great time, i met great people and i underwent challenging tasks and issues which i thoroughly enjoyed confronting.
in the last few days of my internship i was put in charge of the social media initiatives as there was no one else who had the time or knowledge. thus, it meant i was to liaise with the company which was aiding my organization with regards to social media strategies. however i was not able to derive any strategies as i was not there long enough, yet i managed to leave with my supervisor a diagram that i researched with outlined the method of deriving an apporpriate social media strategy for a company. this diagram can be seen below:
All in all, i thoroughly enjoyed working with my company and i cannot wait to get involved again.
moreover, the link provided is the official Facebook page, which i was assigned to put feel free to have a look.

Hi Hugo
I think social media has changed the traditional way of practicing public relations. Social media has become a platform where people can exchange information quickly and thus becoming a potential target audience.
During my internship there was a a client which was in a crisis situation. After having analyzing what has been said in the newspaper, my supervisor ask me to check on Facebook what are the comments of general public regarding the clients. So this prove that PR practitioners are aware of the importance of social media to not only raise awareness but also to know what are the impression of the different stakeholder.
Hope you enjoy your internship..hope to see you soon
Hi Hugo,
I was in the same state as you on my last day in the company. Happy and sad. It has been a great opportunity that this module gave us to work in the PR department of a company. Getting in contact with the working world, know the daily process and how to deal with stakeholders and the public. After all, i guess every one enjoyed this opportunity and no one could regret for one second of doing this internship.
