Public Relations Internship, 4th Blog for Cancer Support Western Australia "AGM Name Changes, Corporate Golf Days and Live Auctions"
Post 4th of November,
I’m sure everyone is excited that this is the week of the report, so basically this will be the last blog post for me even though my internship experience at Cancer Support WA continue until late November.
The most exciting thing to happen at the moment is that I’ve been assigned mine own personal Corporate Golf Day event to manage in December. I’ve been busy cold calling golf suppliers in Perth trying to get free supplies as prizes for the golfing competition, I’ve been liaising with the events manager at Wembley golf course trying to sort out what food will be served on the day as well as the drinks and countless other features.
Related to this is that for the event I will be using an organisation called Fundraising Auctions Australia to hold a live auction at the event, they are a great asset to any charity because they basically provide a free auction with the minimum cost going to them and any profits going back to the charity. I will definitely find a use for them in the future and I believe they are worth checking out if you’re a small business owner/representative.
