Hi y'all.
So I joined the Beyond Communications team recently, and the least one could say is that I was most welcomed by Celine Planel, the creative Director and by my fellow colleagues.
On the first day, I was pleasantly surprised when Celine asked me to accompany her to meet a new client, I was briefed on the client's details on our way and I was lucky enough to be given the new client as my first client.
At Beyond Communications, we're a small team, five to be precise and we work together in an open space, sharing ideas, strategies and motivate one another.
One of the main activity of Beyond Communication is the social support they give to their clients, as mentioned previously, I was given my first client on my first day and as soon as we came back to our office, I was an admin on the Facebook page of the my first client, I started by refreshing the posts, send mails asking for pictures and news updates in order to post on the Facebook page.
In other news, I looked for information regarding LinkedIn, because they did not had an account yet and send her all the details in order to be active on the site.
So far, I must have worked for a total of ten clients, some I did media monitoring, I've send newsletters, I must have done like five to six translations (Which was not easy at all) and worked on the Facebook pages of our clients...
If I ever have to point out some negative aspect, it would probably be the fact the I am not used to send mails to each other when we're in the same office. I mean, if my colleague want some research to be done, why can't she turn around or just look up and ask me instead of sending a mail. It is weird, but I am slowly getting used to communicate by email now.
To conclude, this may seem cliché, but I feel genuinely blessed and lucky to have my internship at Beyond Communications. My boss is the sweetest woman I've ever worked for, she really wants to teach me a lot of things, always giving me advice, bringing me with her to meet other clients. My colleagues are always helping me out, giving me advices and I am lucky to call them friends now. The location of Beyond Communications is next to the beach, which make our lunch time a lot of fun.
So far, working at Beyond Communications has been pure bliss.
Thank you.
Joelle. (The happy intern)
