Week 2 of PR Internship: My Primary Task

Hello to you all fellow interns!

Today I am going to talk to you about my task which has been assigned to me during the internship at Caméléon Production. First of all, it should be acknowledged that the audiovisual company has produced its first feature film entitled 'Sugarcane Shadows'. With the production phase of the project now complete, the film is now set to undergo its post-production phase which is the editing process. Before the post-production starts, it is important to finalize the head credits of the film which will be sent to the editors.

Now the head credits are the information which are displayed at the very beginning of a movie such as the director's name, the executive producers' names and especially the names of associations which have contributed to the funding of the film's production. Head credits have become something more elaborate with time by defining its very own genre of narration with the high level of graphics embedded with original soundtracks which define the film's success. Remember Casino Royale released in 2006? If you have seen the film, you must have been impressed with the head credits as shown below.

Many people underestimate the importance of head credits but the fact is that it helps to maintain good relationships with sponsors and partners making it an innovative opportunity to do good PR with the audience and other stakeholders. The director would then be able to contact the same partners for a similar project if another funding is required if both parties have been satisfied with the cooperation.

Also, the process of building up the head credits includes contacting the various organizations and sponsors which requires a high level of communication skills in order to ask information from them such as their compulsory statements and their official logos within the time delay.
