Perks of the Job

Hi all!

It has definitely been an extremely busy and exciting time in the offices at Mandurah Performing Arts with an abundance of shows up and coming in the next few months! My first few days interning were spent researching different ways that the organisation could utilise social media applications to raise awareness for their up and coming shows and generate interest in these performances. With this research completed it was time to start the real work!

We decided that it would work best for the organisation if they were to create and develop pages on the following social media applications in order to reach their target market and generate the interest needed to boost ticket sales.

With acts coming and going from the centre I managed to spend quite a bit of time talking and interviewing some of the acts that were set to perform this week, while doing so I managed to gather a lot of photos, videos and information that would potentially generate interest in these up and coming shows. A particular performance group I spent time with was the 2 One Another dance crew from the Australian Ballet Company where I managed to talk to their Public Relations officer about his work with the company and even caught some of their rehearsal which is a definite perk of interning at the Performing Arts Centre! :)
