It has finally come to the end of my Internship at Variety WA!
Completing my 20 day
Public Relations internship has not only allowed me to apply the
knowledge and skills I gained at University but has made me realise how lucky
Western Australian families are to have such a supporting and helpful charity
behind them.
Variety has given me an
exclusive learning experience. I have worked alongside two hard-working,
dedicated ladies that have allowed me to see first-hand how much hard work pays
off. Not only have I picked up a few of
their work ethics, but I have gained valuable experience and knowledge from
Katie who has had many years’ experience in Public Relations and Marketing.
Interning at a Charity where marketing and fundraising are a combined
department, with PR, I have had the opportunity to do work in several different
areas, gaining new skills every day.
The final day of my internship I was asked to stay on a few days a week with pay and help with there upcoming events! I was stoked! my hard work during my internship has finally paid off. Even though I will be doing events, I have picked up so much experience for my Public Relations degree.
Thank you Variety WA!!
