Hi buddies,
It is already my tenth day at Maluti Communications and am still not use to wake up early. Do not know how it is going for you, but for me, it`s an important issue. However, I made a point of honour to arrive in time as my colleagues are just amazing people and I like working with them.
During the past few days I was assigned different tasks and I was able to see different aspects of being a public relations officer. This week I was given the mission to update the different contact details on the ministries that automatically changed after the general election. At first it sounds very easy to just grab a phone and call the different ministries to ask if there was any changes, but at the end it was time consuming and exhausting as most of the time no one could give me the relevant information and they were always referring me to other people that sometimes were referring me to other people too. That was a great test for me as patience is not one of my characteristics, but at the end, I do manage well and the expected result was there.
Fortunately, this second week was not so boring as I had to manage the Facebook page of Maluti Communications and it was quite interesting to search for posts, pictures and articles for the page. On this week one of the greatest local singer Michel Legris passed away and I was given the honour to post a memorandum. This was a great experience for me and getting the praised from the managing director for the job done just added more value to it. This week was a hardworking one as there were the World Cancer Day, World Nutella Day and the World No Mobile Phones Day. I was amazed to discover that all those worlds day exists and the different social media campaigns associated with them. For sure it was very enriching to know what is being done by PR experts throughout the world and this may come in great help to boost up my creativity as we must not forget that Public Relations is an art.
Just cannot realise that am already half way of my internship completion and that there is only ten days to go. For now, there was no bad experience and hope it goes on like this. I am impatient to hear from you and be able to learn the different aspects of public relations. Going to post my next blog after my 15th day.
See you soon....

Hello Daren
I'll agree to say, patience is a virtue. I bet the Y generation is infected with the "Want it all, want it now" virus. But in PR we indeed learn that patience is a key factor to every projects that we work on. It take times and effort to achieve our goals so never give up
Hear you soon
