The Events sector is just as thrilling as the World Cup

My second day of intern was far better than my first day. I learnt so many things and even more in the Events department like for example, the appropriate attributes of an excellent event manager and communicator which is to be resourceful, tenacious, visionary and a good leader. According to my company, the goals of events have to create awareness for the organisation and product, build the brand, raise funds, generate income and to build relationships with stakeholders and clients through appropriate advertising methods including Public Relations, social platforms and others.

Concerning events, the planning is really important as it is all about strategies and tactics. I had an overview of how they tend to write their situation analysis, their SWOT & PESTLE so as to be able to evaluate. The goals and objectives have to be analysed as well as the stakeholders analysis.

I managed to assist in a very interesting meeting about self-management which help the staff to organize correctly themselves in their jobs and also to discuss about their experience and issues on time management.

Events in my Intern company is really flourishing and exciting to participate in. I noticed there that the rates of events done there are increasing there every year since 2010. Thus, a good teamwork is really essential to be able to cope will all projects.

An important note from my intern: Need – Brainstorming – Idea – Project Implementation – Approval – Action

My next step will be to participate in the OVEC project which is a student fair for those who just finished college in which I will be entirely involved in the organisation.
