Debbie Downer Social Media Analysis

So has anyone else realise how hard it is for pages on social media to take off?

It really baffles me how hard it is!

I have been making posts to try to grab attention of consumers and although it is reaching some of our 'followers' not all of them, if any, see/like/share/comment on the post.

This surprises me as on my personal newsfeed there are constant business pages being shared around, people vouching for a particular trend and recommending/shunning a business page.

I have recently also realised that it's hard to create a great looking advert/picture on a budget! Graphic design costs a fortune- I think I will invest myself into understand photoshop a little more so I can create these in future.

A great article that helps people in a plato-follow-stage (made up word, but lets go with it!) is this one!

This is one of my favourite images on this website! It really outlines what users are looking for regarding followers!

Oh and I also love this image... just because it sends a great message to be   P O S I T I V E ! #yeahdebbie

I hope this helps anyone else who is in struggle town when it comes to social media and upping your views! Although it sounds oh so simple, sometimes reality isn't that fair! Keep in mind this article is a year old (TO DATE!!) and there are more guides on the internet to assist you :)

Keep smiling- we are almost finished

Hi Anna,
I've noticed the same thing! I created a social media plan with my supervisor for one of their main clients Queens Riverside and I really expected the social media pages to take off way more than they did. I think the post with the most attention only received 5 'likes' on Facebook- not the result Devahasdin PR was after.

Considering how much work is put into posting on social media or trying to build up a following, the results really surprised me. I even wondered why so much time was spent on creating social media plans if the finished product isn't gaining the desired exposure.

I guess that's just the nature of PR though, nothing is predictable!

Good luck with the rest :)
