Now that it's over..

It feels so strange that my internship at Wesley College is now over, as going there on a Friday has become part of my weekly routine. I am so grateful for the opportunity provided by Wesley and by Curtin, I have learnt more than I imagined. It is an invaluable experience getting to put the skills I have learnt over the past three years into practice – but more than that, it built my confidence knowing that I am actually good enough to work in this industry.

While at first I was apprehensive to complete my internship at Wesley College, because my mum works there as a teacher, I am so glad that I did! I couldn’t have asked for a more supportive and friendly department, and the most amazing supervisor. As with any internship, I have built networks for the future, and have yet another place to turn to if I have any questions.

The most important lessons I have learnt over the course of my internship is that it is so important to believe in yourself and make the most of every chance that comes your way – you never know when it might pay off!
