My tasks #PRinternship#happymoments#studentlife#curtin#socialmedia#Sea#Urchins#Yummy

Hi everyone!!

Hope everyone has been enjoying his/her internship as much as I have. At first, I must say that I was having some doubts about PR but since I started my internship, I realized that I would definitely continue PR in the future.  It is something that I am enjoying more and more day by day. During my internship I had several tasks that I have been assigned by my supervisor. Let me resume them for you.

1.     My first task was to do the media calendar of the hotel, which consists of selecting pictures and writing a post accordingly to it and that would go on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. The picture below is the calendar that I did for the month of August.  I did the same for the month  of September, October, November and December with the related upcoming events.

2.     For the following couple of days I worked on the calendar but also did loads of researches about wedding and honeymoon. My major concern was: “What do people actually want their dream wedding to be like?” and my objective was: Helping to write an article on wedding promoting the hotel and making people want to come to LUX for their dream wedding. So if anyone needs some ideas on their future wedding, I am here to help and to embark along with you in your wedding planning adventure! I know I am promoting myself but this is such an exciting adventure! YAAAAAAAAY !

3.     Another task I had to do was to write an article on the delights of eating sea urchins. After helping in the setting up and the editorial part of the wedding article, the PR manager said I had enough experience to be able to write an article on my own which I must admit was very stressful at first but when I got feedbacks and was rewarded with “ Nice Remena, you did a good job”, it made me very proud and I must admit it was a sort of relief.

Did you guys enjoy your internship as much as I did?

Hi Remena,

Your post reflect how much you enjoy you internship! Your tasks are completely different than those i was assigned to during my internship, thus the PR aspect is still present but in a different manner,it seems that your work was more based on the social media side rather than the press side for example.

Nevertheless, nowadays social media are very important in the PR field. To answer to you question i did really enjoy my internship as much as you seem to :)

Cheers :)
