The Awaited Event Finally Came ...

It is finally here 'Induction' at Heritage The Villas,  a two days session. On the first day , I was terrified. Firstly, as they said there was going to be a test at the end of the second day. Secondly, as I did not know anyone there as they were all new staffs and they already made friends within there own specific department where they will be working. They made small groups and were talking, whereas I was there standing alone , thinking how I was going to make it through this day.

It was from 9.00 am till 16.00 pm. There was a 1 hour introduction, then a welcome address of the Brand Ambassadors, a little sharing by oldest employee at The Villas/ C-Beach/ Golf/ Le Chateau, personal welcome address by the hotel manager, Stephane Dadoune & General Manager for Heritage Golf Club, Jonathan Menteath, web they weave, history of the Domaine & Charles Telfair, a short DVD introducing the Group.

Then, there was the introduction of the important people of the Domaine:

Philippe Espitalier Noel – CEO of Rodgers
-        Francois Eynaud – CEO of Veranda Leisure & Hospitality
-        Jean Cyril Julienne – Chief HR Officer of Veranda Leisure & Hospitality
-        Jacques Charles – Chief Operating Officer of Le Domaine de Bel Ombre
-        Kaviraj Ranmdenee – Human Resources Manager of Le Domaine de Bel Ombre
-         Christophe Ramdiane – Hotel Manager of Heritage Awali Golf & Spa
-         Michel Frederic – Hotel Manager of Heritage Le Telfair

After that, we got a short break of 15 minutes, followed by the introduction of Rodgers, Veranda Leisure & Hospitality & Veranda Hotels, and Le Domaine de Bel Ombre & Our Resort, an overview of the HR administration procedures, followed by a lunch Break of 1 hour at le Chateau.

Lastly we had a visit of le Domaine which was really exhausting as we had to walk a lot. To end the session, they did a ‘Test of your knowledge’ activity which was fun.

It was a very tiring day but I learned a lot about the domain and policies which will be really useful for my final report. Also, I made a lot of new friends. Those people were not as mean as I thought :P. I am looking forward for tomorrow, ‘Induction Day 2’. Trusting, it will be as much amazing as today.

Hi,

having a look at your blog posts it seems that you are really having a gala time enjoying your internship. The hotel you have chosen seems to be a perfect place to work at. The pictures you have posted are very tempting. Looking forward to spend a weekend there with the amazing staffs.
