Quill, CapitaLand Topping up ceremony of Tower D Lot J KL Sentral

As mentioned in earlier post, I have given several opportunities to handle projects by myself. And here goes another one, which was the topping-up ceremony for Tower D, Lot J KL Sentral, a Grade A commercial building at the choice KL Sentral location. Among my tasks were to prepare documents such as media kit documents (program list, media advisory), media invitation and also monitoring for coverage of the event.

The media started arriving as early as 9.30am and they were given the press kit and door gift. The whole experience of this topping up ceremony is totally different from the other events. It is an incomplete building whereby all guests and media are required to take the hoist from 6th floor up to the highest floor of this building. I am actually a height fearer but this event is totally a new experience and a good training for me. I managed to handle and control myself very well in order to success this event.

Unfortunately, me and the team is disappointed with the media coverage because it is not as expected. The journalists managed to get a short conversation with the Chief Executive Officer of CapitaLand Financial Limited after the press conference on REIT (Real Estate Investment Trust). Thus, all the media coverage was about REIT instead of the topping up ceremony.

This is my final project in Fleishman-Hillard Kuala Lumpur after 3 months placement. Honestly, I feel so sad because it is almsost time for me to leave the company (in fact, I have already left). Even the working schedule is hectic whereby i have to work overtime till 12a.m. but I feel it worth a lot as I got to learn so much from everyone. The experience gained here is a treasure.
