It looks like everyone seems to be finishing or close to finishing their placements, and im sure like me, everyone has enjoyed what they have been doing and getting a taste of whats to come in the big bad world of full time work!
Im sort of sad that this semester is quickly coming to an end.. i cant believe how fast it has all gone! Looking back i can see the progress that i have made, and how much i have learnt actually doing what ive been tought to do in class.Its funny because your doing something simple like drafting for a media release and all of a sudden your pulling knowledge from what you've learnt in class. It shows that what we are doing in class all has relevance to the workplace no matter how small or large it may be!
Where im doing my placement, at Sunset, one of their biggest events; Southbound; is rapidly creeping up on them and they have asked if i could stay to help- so for me, even though officially my placement finishes for this unit next week.. ive said i would stay and give a hand which they are estatic about, and which im excited about to! Its a really rewarding opportunity when you know that your efforts and help that you're giving is really assisting the staff and at the same time giving me a fantastic insight into whats to come!
This post is only short because i am flat out at the moment- weird its ten to 5 and im still this buisy!!
Hope everyone has enjoyed their placement and is excited about the full time work thats ahead of us!!

It sounds like you are doing really well at your placement at Sunset Events.
You must be happy that they have offered you extra work especially as its working on Southbound which is such an exciting event.
I think that while your placement would be fun it would also be difficult as the events that you plan are so huge. I cant imagine how many things you must have to get done.
Well I hope you enjoy the rest of your work experience, and when I am at southbound next year I will be thinking of you!

My placement was centred on event management too. its a pretty stressful field, but its such a high when things go well.

Hi Nikkia...Isn't amazing when the work you are doing pays off.And your bosses want more.You must feel so proud and happy that they want you to stay on.And congratulations, you must have been very efficient during your internship, seems you did a very good job...
