Certificate Ceremony and Curtin Sarawak Open Day!

During the 2nd April 2009, I was assigned as a photographer for the Certificate Ceremony and an usher for the journalists. It's a good experience to test my photography skills, as most of my years in Curtin Sarawak doing cinematography in FTV units. Also in my opinion it's a good practice for a Public Relations Officer to know a little bit about film making and photography, since Public Relations have to work for publications for the company and also producing corporate video.

During the Open Day on 4th April 2009, I was again assigned as a photographer to cover on the Open Day while our graphic designer was assigned at the new Phase-2 of Curtin Sarawak official opening ceremony. It was a tiring and hot day as crowd getting bigger around 12 in the afternoon.

Overall it was a good experience and i get to see all my pictures on the website!

here's the link to the certificate ceremony pictures: http://www.curtin.edu.my/10thanniversary/gallery/cert_ceremony/index.htm

it has been a great 3 months experience doing my internship at the Corporate Communication Department at Curtin Sarawak, great staffs great activities, I miss all the corporate communication department and marketing department staffs there. I'm glad i'm taking this unit! hahaha

Nice photos u got, pete! Unfortunately i didn't get to go to the Open Day this year. It looks good! Looks so much better and less childish than the other times. Too bad there weren't many people! I also heard all the stalls closed early due to the weather.

There was alot of posters and press releases on the 10th year anniversary events, all over the town and websites. I think what Curtin did, was great and everything was successful.

yea the effort on advertisement in the local media was good, and a lot of sponsors as we did give out letters for sponsorship, yea due to the weather some activities was stopped, but with main or center of attention was the stage in LT Foyer, where the invited DJ for west malaysia, from the Traxx.FM was entertaining all the audiences there

the crowd was getting bigger during the afternoon, you should've come it was exciting although the weather was hot and suddenly raining. haha
