Hi again all!
It's safe to say that Rockend has been keeping me on my toes over the past few weeks! Recently, since my last blog, more administration jobs have needed to be done. To be honest with you, these jobs aren't always the most interesting of work, but they are essential to the business, and if you don't do them, then who will?! Rockend has already given me so much opportunity so far so am more than happy to help them out on these 'admin' jobs.
Tara Nash, a fellow student of ours, gave me the opportunity of working for Linc Integrated at the VIP Garden City Fashion Catwalk on Wednesday 2nd Decemeber. I had no idea that such extensive hard work was needed to organise an event. Lauren, the primary event organiser, mentioned preparation time was approximately two months in length prior to the event. My jobs included transporting the gift bags for the guests and media from the Centre Management Office to the Shopping Centre, greeting guests warmly as they entered, and helping the models change outfits and enter on stage in time - let me tell you, its harder then you think! As a thank you, everyone that helped out recieved a complimentary gift bag which is more then enough for the experience and knowledge that i gained.
I hope everyone's placements are also working out well for them.
