Last week at work

Well I finish my internship at the Alzheimer’s Australia last week and it was sad to leave them. My boss was really nice and we had a talk before I left and he felt a little sorry that he couldn’t give me my own project to work on but gave me small work to do.

He did however ask me if I wanted to, I could go back as a volunteer and help out and maybe get a project of my own as well. It was really nice of him to offer me that.

I spent my last days there editing two videos for my boss and he was quite happy with it. When I finished it, they didn’t have anything else for me to do, so they asked me to help a put letters into envelopes. It wasn’t an exciting ay of work but I enjoyed it.

I really did enjoy working there and I have to say that the 20 days went by so fast and now we have to hand in our report soon. I did learn a lot from working there.

I really did apply a lot of this when I was working for a strategy for my other Public Relations assignment and I can say that I am ready to enter the working force now and feel more confident, I know it wont be as easy as this because this was just an internship but I know how it feels like to be working for a public affairs department of a company and what to expect when organizing an event.

I am for sure going to miss working at the Alzheimer’s Australia but I am glad that I got a chance to work there for a little while. With these experiences I hope to take with me when I go into the working field.
