It is upon each an every one of us to focus on the society needs. Not all people in the community are able to handle the projects that they wish to do, neither will you without the help of corporate people. It is in our shoulders that we maintain and establish a good relationship within the environment that we are operating in to impact and make a difference to the whole community. Society expects us to be environmentally and socially responsible, as well as financially.
I have never been to any CSR event or project since I joined IPRM, however as one of the task I was assigned to look into it to suggest how they can get involved into more social responsibility. I said to them that to be successful, we see positive environment and social performance as essential conditions for sustainable environment. We all have to understand that social performance is about the combination of three things which is firstly our behaviour, that is as an organization do we live up to the standards we set for ourselves in our business policies. Secondly, our impact, I do believe that as an organization, there has to be a difference in any place you are operating in. Therefore, how well we manage the impact of our operations on people is up to you, me and the organization to handle it. Lastly, our overall contribution to the society matters a lot. This is all about the organizational support for the community programmes and charities.
I am still looking forward to the reviews of my suggestions as often in the organization, sharing of ideas brings about positive or negative response one way or the other. So, for our future own business to come, always have in your mind that the society are the major contributors to your success in everything that makes you prosper throughout. Their support is magnificent, so let us not forget to build our image and make them to be proud of us. Do something that will make them happier, give out to them. It is not raising funds for charities or disable people only, no no no, they are so many things that we can do for the society and one of them it is that which is currently in your mind that you wish you can do it right now if you can get the support. Put it into practice and it shall come to pass.

Utterly well said I must say. After how we are taught the great extends of Social Responsibities in class, it is only until we get to our respective organisations that we feel and see why they have the highy ranked importance. I think i was very much moved by such projects as much as you were. I came to beleive that the margin that CSR projests have, later define and uphold the status of the company within the society.

Indeed Organisations should commit themselves to behaving ethicaly by contributing to the welfare of the community and environment.
Economist Magzine do agree that social responsibility is something to reckon with;
