This has been with for some years but they are moving from nice to a must have. The reason I am saying this is because:
The imitative has been underpinned by the fact that the organization should have an impact beyond its shareholders. It was great that most of the employees were willing to get their hands dirty and it provides a group bonding in the shovel, however in the case of Botswana the community needs a fresh lick of paint, in the case of the hospital where I was doing my internship I realized that in three months while I was based there, they were only doing litter picking around where the hospital is situated with no senior management in the project, and I realized that CSR goes beyond this, if more senior members of the staff can benefit from offering their specialist skills in an advisory as well as more hands on approach could be adding more value. And repeating the same project especially where it doesn’t involve the community that much it loses its value. Should we say the band of Corporate Social Responsibility was overstretched? Feel free to comment.

Corporate social responsibility (CSR) isn't just about doing the right thing. It means behaving responsibly, and also dealing with suppliers who do the same ant it also offers direct business benefits. Make the most of your corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities by publicising them. Ensure that customers, and the local community know what you are doing. CSR lends itself to good news stories which can be of great benefit to an organisation with a bad reputation. Ms Mokabedi as we know that our hospitals in Botswana have a bad reputation this can be one vital tool to use to try and show people that there is some good that hospitals can do.
