Something to consider

Hi! Guys, back again

As I said before that I was working for Jazzmates production (event management company), the morning task that I was involved in, for the full two months was to manage the database. To update the database is an important thing, so that the company information cannot be outdated, and sometimes because organizations (clients) frequently change their contacts.

The skills that I learned to plan events can be considered and applied beyond to life as a Public Relation professional. On the first day to work, I was assigned to do and design a running schedule for Affin Bank. The schedule also had a script of what the master of ceremony has to say. This was a good experience for me because before in my PR module in university we did running schedule but doing this for a big ceremony was great. We planned an event for Affin Bank which was about their 40th anniversary dinner celebration. Current and former employees were invited to the event as a way to mark their importance to the organization and most definitely their productivity that led to Affin Bank being successful. Public figures like the Minister of Defence and Filipino popular singer was present at the event, and this is the strategy that is being used in events so that the events can be well covered by the media.

Thats what i was doing at my placement it was too demanding. I had to update media database as it would be later used for inviting the media for upcoming conferences and consultations with my managing director.
According to Jim1996 pg 92, media database will help a company get journalists and editors names who will later help in providing information on the media such as area of coverage and circulation or audience.
with an updated database calling clients and the media wo`nt be of much work because all their contacts are already available.
