I commenced work on the 20th of June 2011 and on the 23rd of June we attended a big event at One Utama shopping mall. It was Nandos celebrating its new menu launch with same same but different contest. At the event we had a great opportunity of meeting journalists one on one for the first time and it was a great experience. We were given a task to register the media as they arrived at the place where the event was held. We also had a great opportunity to shake hands and give each one of them presents at the end of the event. It was really great and I learnt that as a PR practitioner you get to mingle with people and people of different status so one has to be a social able and an outspoken person for one to succeed.

I must say you really enjoyed your internship and from the way you are writing it sounds like you got to learn a lot about events planning and the importance of media in public relations especially during events.
make it a point to apply all that you learnt during the internship in your future career especially if you will be in the public relations field.
