Today is the last
day of my placement in AAWB. I am very happy that I can work and learn from
here. Actually, I didn’t have any workload today and the main reason I went
back to the office was because of my little farewell party. I have been working
with AAWB team member for more than five months. Every one of them treats me
very good and they are willing to teach me.
One of the staff
is a very straightforward person, I did not get used to work with her at the
beginning and I thought she hates me with no reason. I remember one time when
all of us is rushing for the event preparations, my boss Richard suggested get
a delivery dinner and told us order whatever we want, he would pay. Everyone
was exhausted and lost their appetites. Therefore, most of them just ordered a
drink with a light sandwich or burger. However, I was the only one order a box
of fried rice with a fried chicken leg (Large Size).
“Don’t eat too
much. You gain weight,” she said.
It was so awkward
and when the delivery arrived, Betty passed it to me. I looked at the box of
rice in my hand and look at the staff who said I had gain weight and sitting
next to me, I was struggling with one question- Should I eat the rice?
Finally, my answer
was yes. I opened the box and ate but I only finished 1/3 of it. After this
incident, I didn’t hate her but I just dislike her. Since she is the one I have
to work with everyday, I spent most of my time with her and I start getting to
know more about her personality and I have to admit that her work abilities is
excellent.
When she passes me
a job, she will ask me try to finish it and feel free to ask her anything.
However, every time when I faced a difficulty, she knew before I ask. Then she
would sit next to me and teach me in details.
I found out she is
always keeping an eyes on me - in a nice way. And the more I get along with
her, the more I like her.
Today when we
finished the farewell lunch, Richard offered me a job and he told me that ‘She’ is the one who highly recommend me
to continue working for AABW.
Who is she? She is
my manager-Jodie <3

I agree with your headline: "End of something always implies the start of something", same to me, leaving Australia after Uni is another new start to my career in PR. Let's bring the theories to the real-life!
