"Find a job you love and you will never work a day in your life" Confucius

Hello peeps,

My name is Cecilia and am currently in my final year at Charles Telfair Institute completing an Undergraduate degree in Mass Communication.

The journey to found an internship was very long and difficult but now I can finally say that I have found an amazing one which is giving me a glimpse of what the real public relation world is all about.

Finding a placement was very , very hard and frankly it causes me lot of stress. But the amazing part of the story is that I finally find a placement opportunity just by talking, like we often say communication is the key to success, to a friend of mine who tells me why not doing my internship in AIESEC.

Hmmm, I never through of it before, but ..why not?? … I was already an Aiesecer but at any given moment. I didn`t realise that working with the Member Committee namely the communication department will bring me to the next level of my AIESEC journey, and is now the can opener of my PR career journey.

Stop talking about me, have you ever heard of AIESEC….!!! If not let me be your guide, if yes, let me reintroduce AIESEC to you, an orginisation where youngsters is at the heart of everything.

Now that am no longer protected by the safety of a classroom, am anticipating the real world. Being able to put into practice what I have learn throughout my university years and adapt to another environment is THE CHALLENGE. But like we always say in AIESEC let it be my “Life Changing Experience”.

 Until then,
Regards
Cecilia

I had the same experience. It is so interesting to see how everything you learnt in school helps.
Hope all stays well.

Hey Cecilia,

I totally agree with you, being in an association and forming part of the association is very different. But since you have been in the place of an AIESEC member before, this will give you a better insight on how to promote AIESEC now that you form part of the administration. All the best with your work placement.
Thank you for your post.
